Spreading Kindness: Our Journey with SVP on their Christmas Appeal Campaign.

We had the pleasure of working with St Vincent de Paul Society and marketing agency Different Kettle to develop a digital marketing plan that would take the SVP’s Christmas Appeal Campaign to the next level.

We focused on spreading the themes of the campaign - Reassurance, Comfort, Joy and Hope  – across social media through paid and organic content.

We wanted to make sure that the messaging around the cost-of-living crisis in the UK was clear and resonated with the audience, and that the CTAs were strong, clear, and consistent.

But what really moved people to donate were the heartfelt case studies provided by the SVP, which highlighted the impact of their work on real people's lives. We shared these experiences through storytelling, using the content pillars we devised for this campaign.

We shared these case studies and fundraising asks through a regular calendar of varied content, using a mix of video, carousels, and campaign specific design assets - really focusing on clear and simple design, so that the stories came through most.

The campaign also used paid media and SEO tactics, such as Google Ad extensions, to increase awareness and engagement with the target audience.

The campaign was a great success, with a 31% increase in website traffic, a 60% increase in donations, and a 22% increase in conversion rate.

As we progressed through the campaign, we identified opportunities for growth in paid social media across more platforms and creating more content to maximize income and brand awareness in the future.
